Let’s Play a Guessing Game…

Today’s post is really really random. An “I don’t have a lot of time but I miss you guys and have something exciting to share” kind of post. If you ever notice that I am a little quiet on the blogging front, it means one of two things: I am either out of town or am busy designing. Blogging AND designing are a wee bit challenging since I am a one woman blogging show plus a wife plus a housekeeper plus a mommy to two little ones so it goes in waves. And since this week has FINALLY been the week I have put everything aside and really started planning the completion of “Our Historic Wonderland”, my blog has been a little quiet. The last three months have been a whirlwind of Christmas and surgery and trips and life is finally settling back into normalcy. Before I leave again in three weeks for California.

It’s funny because to everyone else, our home is complete. For me, it is maybe 20% complete. Maybe. Last night we were out on a Valentine’s “Date Night” with five other couple friends and someone asked me what project was next since I am “finished” with our home. Say what?!? I have only just begun!!!!

So as I said earlier, today’s post is totally random and short and sweet. So are you ready for the exciting news??? Yesterday I ordered wallpaper. Finally. And A LOT of it. Okay maybe that’s lame but I freaking love wallpaper. And it honestly is a huge starting point for me in so many of my design projects. It’s the first step I need to get the ball rolling and get my creative juices flowing. So yesterday I finally decided on four rooms worth of wallpaper. I am still finalizing details on my remaining wallpaper projects so just four for now. BUT two of the four papers will be covering A LOT of wall. Or ceiling. Just a hint. So let’s play a guessing game… Which paper will go in what room??? See how well you know me and my design style.

SHOP OUR HOME:

Here are the four rooms (CLICK EACH ROOM OR IMAGE FOR A FULL TOUR OF THOSE SPACES)…

Ok thinking bird wall paper in dining room because of your last dining area…
    Mural in winters room
Blue print wallpaper in art room
Leaves the gray wallpaper for addisons ceiling because she has ship lap walls so no paper on those I’d think.
    …. I think lol

    Mural- winters room (or playroom)
Blue wallpaper- playroom (or winters room)
    Grays cloud paper- addisons ceiling
Birds- dining room because of your last dining area, plus you have a dark ceiling so I’m thinking you’d wanna stay light ?

There are definitely multiple options for all of these papers !

We just put up the enchanted forest mura in our children’s playroom! I truly love it so much and waited far too long to get it. Also, easiest of any wallpaper job we’ve ever done, so easy I did it all by myself. I’m thinking you might put it in the study room.

As I always say, the only journeys and experiences As I always say, the only journeys and experiences I can… and do… share are that of my own. And today it’s last week’s journey of my explant, lift and recovery. As someone who was “born” with big boobs, had implants to fill what I’d lost to weight loss and nursing to now having explanted to a much smaller size, I’ve been happy with every step along the way. It’s all been what I had or felt I needed or wanted at each stage of life and I’m not one to ever look back and have regrets. It’s just that at this stage of life, I decided the next step for me was to shed some chest. And kind of a lot of it. From a size 32G to a yet to be fully determined 32B-C! To be super honest, the pondering and deciding was by the far the longest and hardest part. With no direct reason for doing so (thankfully)… rather a combination of them from possible health issues 🤞🏻 associated with my implants to the usual back/shoulder pain to just a growing desire to get them out, I’ve felt a bit indecisive and very nervous. But last week I finally did it and I’m so happy I did! Women have so many worries and pressures and insecurities so if this has been on your pondering list as well, I’m just here to tell you that it wasn’t that bad. Any body change takes some getting used to but not gonna lie, shedding that top heavy feeling has been rather fabulous. And the cute little tops and bras I can now wear feel like icing on the cake! So from your always raw and honest IG bestie, thank y’all so much for following along and for all of the love and well wishes on stories. Means the WORLD 🫶🏻
Forget drenching your hands with straight acetone… and the hour and a half SNS process… try this and you’ll never go back! Yep, it’s the “old school” tips method but with your own nails. Takes so much less time and although still not exactly CLEAN, it’s way better than an acetone hand bath every two weeks. Plus, they’re actually much smoother too!
