The Reveal of Our Historic Renovation Front Living Room…
Good Evening! It’s definitely been a minute since I’ve been on here. Things have been all kinds of crazy busy but it’s all FINALLY come to completion… back to back travels, finishing up our historic renovation and opening our warehouse once again… the new home of AW Design and AW Styled (launching early 2024!). I’ve so missed being on here!
Today I am sharing the very first room reveal inside our historic renovation… which by the way I have officially named WONDERLAND COTTAGE. Only took me two years to decide! This old house was a HUGE undertaking but has been so satisfying to bring back to life. It was built in the 1920’s and came into complete disrepair over the last decade or so. It needed to be gutted all the way down to the studs with all new electrical, plumbing and all but that only makes for a bigger transformation!
For this front room, I wanted something simple and elegant… a space that felt warm and inviting right when you walk in the front door. Like a big warm hug! I chose the color Beetle Black by Farrow and Ball which is also carried into the front bedroom as well. From there I did tone on tone curtains with a few pops of ivory and pink. Here’s a peek back at this space BEFORE and then TODAY!

I just love that swivel chair! It looks like it would take up much room though if you also have a sofa in the living room.

SO inspiring! I love it! Do you have link for the rug?
Brittany Palazzo says
Thank YOU! It was a random one that we were selling at our AW warehouse and we just pulled it for this project 🙂

Love all of this!! I clicked the link for the curtains and it gave me 27 color options. I was overwhelmed : ) When you have a chance, would you please share the curtain color you chose? I tried to compare amazons images with yours and guess… but let’s be honest, your photos look so much better!
