Happy Wednesday! Today is a super long day for me as I head to Atlanta to design a vignette for The America’s Mart. I was super honored and excited to be chosen as a featured designer for this event as I have seen them done for years and years now by some incredible interior designers. It’s the ultimate for someone like me because it is a 10′ x 10′ white walled space with zero rules and an entire Mart worth of amazing products at my disposal. There is a theme but it can be interpreted however we would like and can be done in our own style. I chose Nocturne because I LOVE to create dramatic spaces. I will definitely be sharing this experience and the final reveal when it gets installed and unveiled in July! You can read more about me and my part in the event as well as an interview HERE.
So what is new in my life this week? Hmmm… Well for one, I am almost two weeks gluten free now and I cannot even TELL YOU how much better I feel already! Although I have not yet received my Celiac results, I decided to start doing so on my own since my blood work shows an intolerance to gluten. I was just telling Mark tonight that I have not felt miserably full or bloated like I sometimes would feel nor have I felt as hungry and I have been eating so much less! It is seriously crazy! Plus, my skin has cleared up COMPLETELY in less than two weeks time from skin issues I have been dealing with for at least a year now if not two. I am definitely planning on doing some meal posting and planning posts very soon. I have heard so many amazing stories now from friends and readers who have been cured of numerous random ailments simply by going gluten free.
Next up on the what’s new list is that we have been doing an absolute TON around the house getting ready for a baby shower I am hosting for my sis on Saturday. Hosting events at our house has always been our “rush to get things complete” motivation. One tiny little area that I have been able to “complete” is the foyer stair wall. I shared an update several weeks ago of the newly wallpapered space and today I am sharing it complete! I think. LOL. Are designers really EVER finished? I know that I am usually not but for now I am IN LOVE with this little nook! I found the absolute PERFECT whimsical mirror at HomeGoods and it truly made the space. I am still undecided on the bird chair where it is but until I find a better spot, there it sits… hiding a big ugly wall vent that I need to find a new cover for ;-)…
P.S. All product sources and room details are at the bottom of this post.
P.S.S. Lots of the desk accessories are part of my Painted Fox Home Collection re-launch coming SOON!
