They are perfect and that color is on point!!!! Seriously girl you could make mad money creating new colors for companies 🙂 I love the name to “Wonderland White” just lovely! Hugs, Darcy
So pretty! I love the ashy color of the floors. Are you doing carpet in the playroom area? Sorry if I somehow missed this if you already shared what you were planning to do.
It’s so gorgeous!!! Do you think it would produce the same effect on new Red Oak? Can you explain your concoction? What brand was the Pickled White stain and was the 4 ounces of W1-White paint and what brand? I’m wanting kind of a gray ashy look.
Absolutely gorgeous! I love how light and bright everything is! This is making me wish I went with lighter floors. 🙂 I can’t wait, and I mean can’t wait, for everything to be done! Good call girl! xoxo
You definitely made the right call on the floors – they are stunningly beautiful!!! As much as I love my dark wood floors, they are extremely high maintenance as far as keeping them dust free and clean. I am in the process of doing some floors over, and am definitely leaning towards a much lighter and softer look. This post has been very helpful, can you give a few more details on the products used?
Wow! I completely agree with the prior post about you branding this color! Its going to be huge! That’s the one thing I hate about wood floors and cabinets is the orange! (And I’m a Clemson girl, I love me some orange! lol!) But I think that’s why dark wood floors/cabs have become so popular, its the only way to cut the orange. Seriously, call a lawyer and have it branded!
It’s always interesting to see what you’re next surprise is! Looking forward to the next episode of this exciting tale!! Getting really exciting! Thanks for sharing a portion of you’re time and talents!
Hi. Could you tell me what you mixed with the minwax white wash pickling. You said 4 oz of W1-white per gallon. But what is the the something of 1 gallon that you mixed the 4oz with?
I just love what you’ve done with your white washed floors….stunning!! Could share with me your formula that you added to the Minwax Pickling Stain? I’m planning to do my walls with the pickling stain and love that idea of adding more white to the mix.
I just leased my first ever studio space and I think I’m going to try your technique on the floors!!! You are probably beyond done answering questions about this LOL but what type of poly did you use? Thank you SO much for sharing your genius with the world 🙂
Yes. I noticed that. I also was wondering what: brand of polyurethane was used What products were used for stain What type of wood are the floors – red pine, white pine, ??
I am so pumped I found your page / blog. I have been trying to explain this exact color to our wood floor guys. Now I have pictures and a mixed to go off of! I was so confused by the fact that straight polyurethane makes it go back to Orange floors again! Thank you so so much!
I know this was a post from a few years ago, but hopefully you can help me with the recipe for your Pickled White Stain w/ 4Oz of W1- White (per one gallon! Thank you!!
