My Chic and Colorful Office Reveal
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Ours somehow went from almost no plans to jam packed full so quickly! I was like oh yay, I will FINALLY have time to decorate our Christmas tree! Which by the way, is still sitting in our living room without a single ornament or strand of garland. I am a major slacker this year. What the heck?!? I keep blaming it on the fact that we are moving but in reality, we aren’t moving for at least another three months so that excuse is completely invalid. Shhh don’t tell anyone though. That’s my excuse and I am sticking to it.
Today I am re-visiting my chic and colorful office renovation and giving you an update! I first shared my “Office Reveal of the Century” back in August. Hopefully you’ve all recovered from the color shock of that post. It is probably one of the most AW style rooms I’ve ever done. Print, pattern and color to the max! Just like I like it! It was about 99.5% complete at that time. And then in September I shared the addition of a cute little hanging swing in the post “Just Hanging Out”. Now it is finally all finished. I’ve rearranged a bit and added some fun art pieces as well. When I think about selling and moving I had to admit that this is the first room I usually get sad about leaving behind. I have always wanted a fun, chic office space and this is pretty much everything I have ever dreamed of. It’s fun, whimsical, bright and always gets my creative juices flowing. I recently did a fun little interview for an office feature and here’s a peek at that. I will be sharing the full feature and interview soon!
- Describe your office space: My office is my own little creative wonderland. As a blogger and designer, this space inspires me to be creative, to think outside the box and to be truly unique. I love that my two little girls also have a fun space to be artistic and be inspired to think and create to their fullest potential .
- Where did the inspiration for your office design come from? The inspiration ultimately came from my obsession with combining colors and prints. I love to test my design abilities to the max and see how far I can go in creating a wonderland of a space. The initial inspiration came from my desire to have a striped ceiling somewhere in our home. Next I fell in love with the floral wallpaper and the design just fell into place from there.
- What is your favorite part/design of your office design space and why? My absolute favorite office feature is the rolling ladder. I love that it adds a touch of whimsy and as well as somewhat of a rustic touch. And it doesn’t hurt that my hubby made it for me!

I enjoy everything so much, and thank you for sharing your home with us. The only thing that I would like to see would be your initial inspiration piece or color for your project, your starting point for the amazing results
Love the creative use of space!
In 2016 I’d love to see more links to Atlanta area businesses! I think most of us here are transplants so it is always very nice to see local places, like Sugarboo Roswell, which I just “discovered”. Yippie!
Diane D says
I love to see all your before and after projects. Your vibrant use of color everywhere is so bold and fun!
House flipping and I cannot wait for the new house!!!
Melissa Schmidt says
Would love to see an Instagram feed of daily deals you feature 😉 Absolutely LOVE, LOOK FORWARD TO DAILY, ENJOY & APPRECIATE your design creativity! Top Notch! Exploding with confidence, creativity, and empowerment for us mommies!!!! Thank You Brittany!

Your room reveals are my favorite because they inspire me to be bold and decorate my home with my taste, instead of with what is trendy on pinterest.
I’d like to continue to see room reveals in 2016 (can’t wait to see the new house!) and would LOVE to get tips on how you blend everything so well, or really any tips because I need all the help I can get with interior designs haha.
LOVE your blog!! I’d love to see more organization tricks! 🙂 Merry Christmas!
You already do such a great job of sharing your ideas and home, but I would love to see more ideas for kids’ spaces! Bedrooms, playrooms, bathrooms, etc.
Julia LaBelle says
I love room reveals!! I am a newbie to your blog, and I’ve loved following your Instagram to get inspired! And you’ve led me to so many other accounts that are equally amazing — thank you!!!!
Lauren N says
I am most excited about the house flippings you do – and sourcing them is SO nice – I really like seeing how you take something from start to finish – as well as the DIY you post too!!
Sarah Hanel says
I would love to see the exterior of your home and what you have done to your porch!
Eeee! I love Sugarboo! And I LOVE your office. How could you not feel creative and inspired in this space?! Also – that swing is epic!!!!
I’m excited to see what’s in store for AW in 2016. YAY! I would love to see more room reveals and the stories behind them. I am so drawn to the way you have a signature style. You create it in every room, and I love that. Would love to hear about how you pull that together so seemingly effortlessly each time! xx
Definitely–the DIY projects! But also, please please be sure to point out your inspiration piece for the room project–and the color theory applied to the room development.
Karen Macisaac says
I would like to see more room reveals and how you come up with a design for a room. Also love to see more of your house flipping projects at AW properties. I love the Sugarboo art work!
I love reading about your home and family and really love the way you design. I would love to see how you organize with two kids, as I have 2 little boys and could use some tips. (Especially tips on hiding all their toys). I also would love ideas for cheap home decorating as well if possible! Thank you!
Bethany Ray says
In 2016, before your move- I’m hoping to see more of your barn 🙂
Amy Gomez says
I would love to see you post more ideas for organizational projects ! As moms we all know that with kids, its near impossible for the house to look perfect all the time ! lol – real life is how you live in the space you created everyday. It would be so helpful to have simple beautiful storage options to put the clutter away and simplify things to be able to spend more time making memories with the kids, instead of always cleaning up after them! lol
Leigh Miller says
I love your fabric choices, and would like to see more about how you choose them, and the various sources you use. Thanks!!
I love your home, we share great taste in colors!
I would love to read more about design, clearly you are good at it!

I pretty much love everything you post! Your blog has the perfect balance of design, lifestyle, fashion & DIY. If anything were possible, it would be so awesome to see virtual design tips where readers sent in photos of their design challenges & you gave advice on how you would fix ‘er up, including the “after”! Small changes, of course. 😉 And I would excitedly volunteer to go first! 😀

Oh my goodness I love looking through everything you do but this post really gave me happy bumps! I run two businesses of my own, one semi-finalist for SharkTank with and the other a fabulous age defying skincare business. I try so hard to make my office fun and not a traditional office space but it’s nothing like yours! How fun! My office is part of our living room because I hate being separated in another room when I’m working on things. So I always struggle with keeping all the paperwork organized. I try really hard since people can see my office but it’s tough. I guess I would like to see more beautiful, non traditional organizational decor ideas. Thank you so much for making me smile every time I see your posts on Instagram! Have a fabulous week!
I love your home! It is so inspiring! I would love to see more room reveals…especially your master suite!
Everything you post is amazing!!! Your house is so beautiful and I love how you are not afraid of color!! I would love to see more posts on how to incorporate color. You have inspired me to branch out and add color…but I would love to know more about how to make it all come together. I would also love to see more posts about your kids playroom and how you organize it. All your posts are really just beautiful! Can’t wait to see more on your new house too!! So exciting!!
Thank you for this giveaway and for all your inspiration.. I hope you and your family are blessed in 2016.
