My New Cutting Board Wall!
Happy Monday! It is 10:56pm PST and I am sitting in our hotel room in Newport, OR writing this post while Winnie is fast asleep in the bed next to me. Addie and my mom are in another room and I am rooming with Abbey and Winnie. To read more about our Summer adventure, Read “Our Must-See Portland, Oregon Weekend“. A brand new updated post on everything we’ve done since that post will be up later this week!
I literally feel like this crazy Summer away gets better and better every single day. Like right when I think it is not even possible. Tonight we got back from dinner and literally ran up to our rooms to change into our swimsuits as quickly as possible to then make it back down to the hot tub in time to watch the sunset. We later found out that it is the only infiniti hot tub in all of Oregon. It literally looks like it flows straight into the Pacific Ocean. The bright blue and pink sunset was incredible and watching it with my sweet girls was even better. It was their first “true sunset” and a gorgeous night I will never ever forget. We “swam” in the hot tub for over an hour and it was rather dreamy I must admit. Like on the way to the hotel I was saying that I would never want a house here on the coast just because it is cold for most of the year and then sitting there tonight I said okay, give me a hot tub and I’ll take it ;-)! If you want to follow even more of our trip, follow me on Instagram! I share lots of video of our adventures every single day on my IG stories.
So blah blah blah, let’s get to another fun house reveal! Today’s post is a little “wall gallery” project I dreamed up several weeks ago after receiving several new cutting boards for my Painted Fox Home Collection re-launch! WHICH by the way, LAUNCHES THIS FRIDAY!!! I know I say “obsessed” A LOT but I really do only share what I love here on my blog and I am OBSESSED with every single thing in my new collection. Every single thing has a place in my home and I LOVE it all!!! I cannot wait for you guys to see it so stay tuned for more details!
So about the wall… as y’all may have seen on my social media, Mark LOVES to cook. And as crazy as it sounds, he LOVES to make a beautiful dinner display. He prides himself in how amazing he can make it all look after he cooks. SO he has started himself a little cutting board collection. We literally have over 20 now and they are ALWAYS left out everywhere in the kitchen. So many that we have officially run out of cutting board storage space. So one day I decided to just hang them right there on the wall! That way he can grab them whenever and just hang them back up! I do plan to hang more but here’s a peek at our new cutting board wall thus far!

Love it! Such a great display and I am kinda jealous of your hubby’s collection, I collect chopping boards too and if I had the wall space this is definitely something I would copy.

This is super super cute! What a neat idea! I love how its not just a display, but has actual meaning for your family! And I would love to know your sources for the cutting boards – so cute!!

What a great idea, we have quite a collection ourselves. Seeing your wall makes me sad I didn’t by a peel I saw last week in Fredricksburg TX. I may have to call them and have it shipped!

What did you use for the hanging, and how did you keep them from making marks? We will use ours so I envision lots of scratching.

What type of hooks did you use to hold these large, heavy cutting boards? I love this look!!
Cynthia says
Did you ever find out about the hooks?
Susan says
I just bought one of your cutting boards to hang on my wall. Would love to create a similar look. What hooks did you use? Did you need to use wall anchors?
