Our Beach Photography Session
I’m baaaack! Back from the beach and back to blogging! I did share two quick posts on my design plan for Our Historic Wonderland last week if you missed those! You can read about my color scheme HERE and our interior door plan HERE.
Today I am popping in to share some pictures we had done at the beach last week! But first, funny story… The last two times we have visited the Destin/Miramar, Florida area we have run into so many of you guys that read my blog and either live or vacation in that area. Well this time I actually had a reader, who is also a photographer in Texas, reach out and offer to do a quick family session on the beach one evening. I jumped at the chance because it’s been way too long since we have done any professional photography of all of us together. Brianna with Brianna Moore Photography was seriously the sweetest ever and captured some super cute pictures of us that I will share below…
Well, the funny/not so funny part was that evening when I had JUST showered to get ready for pictures and had literally been drying my hair for about three minutes, the power went out. Totally my luck. We waited and waited and finally Mark called the power company and they said it would be back on by 7:15pm. The exact time we were meeting Brianna for pictures. So I did what most people would do in that situation and hung all of our outfits in the bathroom in hopes that a steam shower would de-wrinkle them all. Needless to say, that did not in fact work so we wore whatever had the least wrinkles and my hair, well, that just looked like a hot mess. Where is a battery powered flat iron when you need one?!? But we just went with it and I am so glad we did 🙂
XOXO, Brittany Hayes

The photos are beautiful. Things “didn’t” work out ” as planned” BUT they sure DID work out, right? Beautiful, indeed!
On another note, it is so wonderfully strange how small the world can be (when you’re not lost). I recently started following your blog, and a couple of weeks later, my cousin is featured as your photographer! Seeing the post on Facebook was so exciting! I AM SO PROUD OF, and for, HER, and equally happy for you and your family, that wonderful things work out for deservingly wonderful people!! You’ve blessed one another.

Was this at Inlet Beach in Destin in June? I did a picture session with my kids and for some reason i beleive I saw you guys were waiting to be photographed. I remember saying to my sister on the way out what a beautiful combination of colors and the gorls were so pretty and calmed, my boys were not
