Random Things with AB

Good morning! Happiest Tuesday. Brit and I are headed up to Big Canoe today to check in on a couple of fun cabin projects for clients and to swing by her latest AW project. These weeks are always my favorite… it feels like a tiny escape from the small town life.

Just a minor house update this week. The HVAC is going in, plumbing is completed and the electrician should be swinging by this week to check it out. I have started putting together some vision boards for the house that I am planning on sharing next week. I’ve always loved design but this will be my first time bringing my visions to life on a bigger(ish) scale. I’m super excited to watch as it all comes together!

Onto the meat and potatoes of todays post…

I have made it a goal this year to make life fun where I can… in all of the smallest most random ways. Whether it’s buying a funky sweatshirt, painting my nails bright yellow, breaking into ridiculous dance at any given moment, or, in today’s case, buying artsy work accessories. I pulled together a couple of fun laptop cases and covers to jazz up your workday. I feel like we could all use a little bit of color and fun in our day to day right now! I got a new laptop to start off the year and those things are a flipping investment. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they need to carry their Mac around like it’s a newborn baby? I think it’s probably pretty obvious if you have been following along with Britt for a bit that I am a hot mess. I am prone to breaking things waaay too often. Mom always called me her “bull in a china shop” … running around at 90 miles an hour with way too much excitement. I’d like to think that has transitioned into “controlled chaos” as I’ve gotten older, but if I am honest the controlled part of that is a stretch.

As I am writing this right now, I have my nails on one hand painted and not the other because you know, I painted my nails the other night with full intentions of painting both hands… got busy doing something after I finished my left hand and never painted my right hand. I legitimately fell asleep with one hand fully painted and the other naked. This was two days ago and the situation is currently the same. Last week, I trimmed my hair with kitchen scissors. Okay now I am rambling but you get the point. One day I will have my life together but today is clearly not that day. Tomorrow probably isn’t either.

ANYWAYS, I put together a couple of fun options to protect your computer because I know that there are enough type B people out there that live in a little bit of controlled chaos with me. I know, we’ve got WILD content on the blog today but I promise that work will be WAY more fun if you have a couple of little “happy” things here and there. It’s kind of like buying new workout clothes and feeling motivated to go to the gym… Anyone else? Just me??
