Friday has come around once again my friends! Haha yes, I know it always does but this has seriously been the quickest week ever. Anyone else feel that way? It’s probably because my kiddos were out of school on Monday but this week has flown by. It may also be because the weather here in Georgia this week has been AMAZING! Highs in the high 70’s-low 80’s has me feeling all the feels for Spring. Except the migraines. Oh the allergy migraines. Grrr… I also feel like the warmer weather keeps the days from dragging along forever like they always seem to do during the cold Winter months. Or maybe that’s just me because I do NOT like cold weather. At all. But yes, I guess I like it well enough to name my daughter Winter. Hehe. Although we do end up calling her “Winnie” about 99% of the time. Which I LOVE!
Last week I swear it rained all dang week so with the fabulous weather this week, I was feeling extra motivated to get a jump on the Spring cleaning a little early and give our back porch a little refresh. Until I discovered that our blower wasn’t working which meant I’d have to sweep the porch. Sooooo my motivation hit a little bump in the road. LOL. Is that lazy or what?? I will blame it on the migraines. But I pulled through and got it all done. The next day. Yes, I seriously stopped cleaning and waited until Mark got home to see if he could fix it. But he couldn’t so I resumed sweeping the next morning. This is where I need the cute little monkey emoji covering his eyes. 😉
Last Summer I shared the first reveal of our back porch not too long after we had first completed “Our Historic Wonderland” and had gotten all moved in. And we have most definitely gotten full use of this space since then! Such a relaxing and cozy little porch that we use quite often Spring, Summer & Fall. Basically every day that it isn’t 30 degrees or 100 degrees. Which is a good bit of the year here in the South. That’s definitely one thing I love most about living in Georgia.
For this year’s refresh I teamed up with Patio Lane for a very much needed beautiful new outdoor daybed mattress and cover. When we had first received our outdoor daybed/porch swing about two years ago, I had researched outdoor safe foam mattresses and covers and I swear they were all an absolute fortune. So we decided to just use a standard twin mattress and add a waterproof cover. However, water always seems to find a way inside and the mattress has now become all kinds of disgusting. Like seriously ewwwww.
This year I discovered Patio Lane! Patio Lane is your online shopping destination for all things outdoor living. From outdoor cushions to outdoor fabrics, umbrellas and even fire pits, they have it all. They have very reasonable prices and even offer price matching if you find a lower price! Plus, they are the premium fabric distributor for Sunbrella fabrics as well as 1,000s of outdoor performance fabrics and textile supplies that cater to the awning, marine, automotive and contract/hospitality industries.
This time around, I decided to have a little fun and add some pops of coral, peach and pink to our little outdoor living room. I fell in LOVE with this beautiful Sunbrella Fabric in Cast Petal using their online cushion builder. I chose the medium firm foam with dacron wrap in a 75″ x 38″ x 4″ size. And it is a perfect fit! Here’s a peek at our newly styled covered back porch…
