Happy Weekend!!! We have been busy little bees this weekend! So much so that I am a wee bit behind sitting down to write this post. Like 3/4 of the way through day of. Insert the little monkey emoji covering his eyes. That emoji seriously sums up my LIFE these days! Yesterday we had Winnie’s 6th Birthday Party. Her party literally stressed me out all week. And the thing is that I am so not a stresser at all anymore! I used to be but I kicked that habit about five years ago and usually do SO good about not getting anxiety about things. So long story short I scheduled (and paid for 20 attendees) Winnie’s party for Friday at 5pm quite a few weeks ago. I was trying to do a party day/time a little less intrusive on everyone’s weekend but mom of the year over here did not realize it was also Youth Football Night at their school which EVERYONE goes to and players/cheerleaders get announced and all of that jazz. Sooo what started as a bunch of her friends coming, by Wednesday turned into three once everyone realized the two events coincided and the three coming all needed to leave a little early. I know, it’s so not a big deal in the big scheme of life but I am a mom and I take everything too hard when it comes to my kiddos and Winnie is my kid who wants 7,000 kids at her party SO I got stressed. If it were Addie, she would have preferred the three versus the twenty but ya know, I birthed total opposites. After running a million options through my head, I finally talked the place into changing her party time to earlier and all was well. NINETEEN friends at her party and everything! Once again, I know I know I know. SO not a big deal but it was just one of those things.
Whew! That was my stupidly stressful week and then add on a bunch of deadlines between my blog and our renovations, two dentist/doctor appointments for Winter AND an endometrial biopsy for me yesterday and let’s just say that I was happy to end the week! I know. I should’ve been stressed about the biopsy but I guess I just transferred my stress over to her party instead. I won’t get into too much detail because this post is actually eventually going to be about rugs AND I am actually planning on doing an entire post about my procedure but… I am getting an endometrial ablation in two weeks. Like I said, more on that another day.
Today I am actually here to chat about RUGS! And super duper affordable ones too! I have teamed up with World Market to finally get a move on our family room and spruce it up with a little pattern and texture. Two of the things I love most! World Market is always my go-to for fun and affordable home furnishings. I love their crazy huge selection, the slight boho vibe that lots of their things have and the fact that they seem to love color, pattern and texture just as much as I do! The exciting news is that they have a HUGE Member’s Only SALE going on right now during their Member Appreciation Month with up to 50% OFF on ALL rugs! I joined the World Market Rewards Program quite a while back and I have been earning $10 reward certificates and taking advantage of huge sales events ever since. I would definitely suggest signing up! You can do so RIGHT HERE. There aren’t any catches to joining. It’s as simple as filling out your info and boom! You get everything from shopper rewards to birthday and shipping rewards to a 15% off coupon just for joining!
For our family room, I have been wanting to get this space completed for a while now. Although it’s a room we use a TON, I just haven’t been motivated to get moving on the last few things it needs for me to consider it complete. One is a rug and then the last will be wall art. I am trying so hard to really think through and personalize all of our wall art so that one may still take a bit to complete. The rug however was a super easy find! I fell in love with this neutral wool shag rug that has a fun diamond design with shag diamonds. It adds a warm, textural touch to our already colorful family room. Here’s a peek at the space BEFORE and then TODAY!
But first, here are my favorite rugs ON SALE neutral and full of color…
