Good Morning!! I can’t even think of what day it feels like! It kind of feels like a Tuesday or Wednesday because of the Holiday weekend but then we had friends over last night making it already feel like the weekend. Our work week is kind of funky anyways because we are taking off tomorrow to take the crew to the Van Gogh: The Immersive Exhibit in Atlanta which we are soooooo excited about!!! John is actually the one who had seen it and suggested it. He loves anything artsy which I LOVE of course. Which also of course makes me continuously try and determine his Enneagram number. I absolutely think he has some strong 4 in him so maybe a 4/5? Every now and then I think a 4/3… okay, back to our week! And then today Abigail is actually kicking John and I out of the house from about 2pm to 7pm for a wedding gift she is secretly working on with all four kiddos. I will see if she wants to IG story it later today so y’all can get a peek!
Today’s blog post is about five years in the making… or shall we say cleaning. I honestly have zero good reason I haven’t done a main closet reveal other than me just never wanting to clean it up and make it pretty for pictures. However, if I am being honest once again, it is one of my very favorite rooms in our home. When we took on this gut renovation six years ago now, I chose to create an entire master suite from a library, two bedrooms and a jack-and-jill bathroom thus turning one of those two bedrooms into our main closet. I chose to do a but of a tone on tone look with a custom mix I created of 1/2 Stardew & 1/2 Uncertain Gray by Sherwin Williams on the cabinets and Dark Harbor by Benjamin Moore on the island. The chandelier is from Anthropologie but I think it has since been discontinued. For the hangers, I chose these Gray Velvet Hangers for an elegant, uniform look that blends a but with the blue cabinets. The pillows and vases are from Addison’s Wonderland and are all linked below. I absolutely LOVE how it all turned out!
I will be back again soon twice with more closet updates from how John fixed all of the drawers from constantly flying open with THESE to new roman shades from Martha and Ash! Here’s a peek at the space when we first purchased the home, after we completed construction and then TODAY!
