Late Night Gift Guide with Ab

Happy Tuesday evening and happy 10 DAYS until Christmas!! What a crazy busy whirlwind the last two months have been. I feel like I have barely had time to come up for air and I could not be more thankful for how this year is closing. Big dreams, hard work, and a whole lotta missed shots paired with lessons learned. Its the final push to the Christmas finish line and I have put together a few last minute gift ideas and stocking stuffers to hopefully help you guys finish off Christmas shopping for 2020.

BUT before we get there… a couple of thoughts.

I was sitting at dinner tonight with my mom and I could not get the idea of how measured our time is here on Earth. The simplest concept and probably over emphasized sometimes but I think that this year has put it into perspective a little bit more. I was watching mom talk tonight and thinking about just how thankful I am for little moments with people. It really is the mundane times that make up life. The ones that seem reoccurring. Deep conversations (over the same dinner you have had one million times over) and the quiet minutes together are invaluable.

I think a lot of times I get caught up in the idea of living a wild life. One that is full of traveling to exotic places with scary, boundary pushing, adventures. While this is definitely something I will constantly do my darndest to pursue, I think we create a life worth living by acknowledging the slow minute to minute encounters with people. Human connections that create tiny impacts and fill out most of our life.

I want to look back one day and confidently say that I lived IN every single moment. Even if it is just a Tuesday night dinner with the most consistent person in my life.

Just the tiniest reminder that life is bigger than the busyness. An intentional life is worth living.
