Hello again from France! Blogging more on this trip than I have the whole last month! Coming to y’all this evening rather exhausted after a very long day touring Versailles and walking the streets of Paris. With so much to share from our very newly completed cottage renovation, I will be blogging lots while we are away! We were pedal to the metal the last few weeks getting the renovation all wrapped up that I didn’t have time for much else workwise. But we are BACK!
Today I am sharing the final reveal inside the tiny kitchen turned dining space inside our cottage renovation. I never “officially” named this project so we just call it the cottage! The cottage is very small so there wasn’t too too much we could do to update the floorplan so our one big change was to switch the once dining space into the kitchen and tiny kitchen into the breakfast/dining space. In older homes, kitchens were much smaller and in the back of the home so we wanted to use the much much larger open dining space for the kitchen instead.
This space was a fairly easy makeover once demo and sheetrock were complete. John had to repair a few broken glass panes in the window and of course it needed a fresh coat of paint but it is otherwide just a freshly painted space with newly sanded old hardwoods and cute new furnishings! Here’s a peek at this space BEFORE (as a kitchen) and then TODAY! All of the details of this space are at the bottom of this post. Have a wonderful weekend!!!
