The Weekend Update

Move In Picture

After a whirlwind weekend of house flipping, today I am sharing a quick little blog post to give you some updates on our first official AW Properties flip!  Whew, what a whirl of a weekend it was!  As you know, about a month ago, Mark and I closed on a somewhat dilapidated and extremely dated 3br/2da condo in the North Georgia community of Big Canoe.  After less than 30 days of construction, Mark completed the property on Friday so the girls and I headed up Friday evening to spend the weekend staging the unit and try to sneak in a little R&R as well.

I say we headed up Friday evening but let me rewind just a tad and share the day on Friday…  After sweating our booties off at Addie’s majorette pictures for two hours at her school Friday morning, we stopped back by the house, TWICE, dropped the dog off, and then finally got on the road.  Although I had done a good bit of staging shopping prior to the weekend, I still had some things to finish up.  I somehow forgot how hard it is to shop with two kiddos, one of which is missing naptime AND add in tax-free weekend.  Not quite the shopping trip I imagined…

But we survived and after three hours of a good little haul at Target, HomeGoods and World Market, we were on our way!

Friday evening we did a whole lot of unloading.  My car, Mark’s truck AND a box truck full of stuff… furniture, accessories and more.  We did get a chance to sneak in a cozy little dinner at a charming new restaurant inside the gates of Big Canoe called The Wild Onion.  My sweet and spicy chicken sandwich was like the best meal ever.  Although my taste buds may have been a little off after a busy day of Cheetos, goldfish and Gatorade.

Saturday morning, with the help of my wonderful mom kid-sitting, Mark and I headed over to the condo to start staging…

Want some sneak peeks?  Well, I literally just finished up-loading, editing and dropboxing (is that a term?) the final #projectscontiridge images to our realtor for the listing!  Needless to say we are thrilled to be finished up and have our first quick flip property on the market later this week.  I’ll be spending the next week or so sharing the before/after images and construction play by plays on the blog.  In the meantime, here’s a couple sneak peeks of the finished property…
