For the first time in 21 days, I am sitting on my bum, drinking a glass of wine and having some alone time. As much as I always love to go-go-go, I am also one that NEEDS a little down time. We have been going from sun up until sun down here on our Oregon Summer adventure every. single. day. and for once, pretty much EVER, I have been going to be bed AND waking up at the exact same time as the girlies. Which basically means I am officially worn out and they are freaking rock stars! Seriously I don’t even know how they are still going. We finally took a breather today and stayed in our pj’s all day long. We cooked in, did laundry, got caught up on blogging and then packed for another mini-adventure. Stay tuned to see where we are headed for the weekend!!!
Today I am SO excited to finally share Winnie’s bathroom reveal! I shared a teency tiny sneak peek on social media several months ago and am just now getting around to sharing it all! It’s so funny because when I first started sharing OHW, I got SOOOO many comments about how “neutral” it was. Hopefully now you can see that I have just been taking my time, thinking things through and slowly but surely making it my own. It’s so strange because although I really honestly thought our last home would be our “forever” home, I feel like somewhere way in the back of my mind I knew it wouldn’t be. Yet this time around, I feel the need to think things through so much more than I did then. I truly don’t see us giving up this historic gem anytime soon so I want to make sure every single thing I do is because I LOVE it and not just because I have it and feel the need to hang it or accessorize with it. I still have sooo many boxes of stuff from our last home that I literally just think I may end up selling. I want every single thing in OHW to be purposeful or items that I love.
If you know me and my style, you know that layering patterns is my love language. One pattern is never ever enough for me. I had chosen this amazing tile for Winnie’s bathroom floor along with this GORGEOUS Shaw Floors’ 3 x 6 Maximus Carrara for the shower walls. And topped it all off with a custom vanity in Wisteria by Sherwin Williams. Yet it was still missing that Addison’s Wonderland WOW factor. Then I found this GAW-GEOUS wallpaper by my sweet friend Jennifer with Stagg Design Shop. Like dream wallpaper. Everything that Winnie’s bathroom had to have. Topped it all off with accessories, towels and the cutest little stool from HomeGoods! So let’s take a peek at her bathroom BEFORE…
