Good afternoon! Coming to y’all cozied up in the most incredible emerald green velvet sectional from Jonathan Louis Furniture that was delivered to the cabin this morning. It is AMAZING!!! Cannot wait to share it with y’all on the blog later this week! I was sooooo nervous about it because I took a huge risk with massive the size and funky configuration I conjured up but it is PERFECT. A huge statement piece that makes the cabin feel cozy and inviting with a mega WOW statement when you walk inside the front door.
Today I am sharing the reveal of a project that has been a long time coming. Over a year ago now I think I dragged John around to every antique store in town, and we have a LOT, on a hunt to find a really long table for a fun console idea inspired by a Pinterest image I had saved years and years ago. We didn’t really need more drawer storage in our bedroom since we have huge nightstands and a large closet so I loved the idea of doing something fun, unique and of course COLORFUL! Although I didn’t find one long one, I did find two that I loved and thought they’d be perfect side by side under our bedroom TV for the look I had in mind.
First, here’s a peek at where/when I purchased them…
Yep, so that was LAST FALL and here they sat getting used and abused as our dump zone with everything form dirty clothes to work stuff to random extra home accessories…
A few days ago I finally had enough and since we are now pretty much finished with the boy’s space, I decided to make this project a priority! First up, staining the tables! I wanted them to be a soft white with visible wood grain so I chose a semi-transparent Minwax stain in Simply White…
From there, I hot glued on the trim and styled up the table with all things Addison’s Wonderland! Plus of course a few touches of greenery, an antique train dining car light from John’s dad and even some wedding and honeymoon pictures. Here’s a peek at the space TODAY!
