Happy Monday!!! Whew! My mile and a half long list of things to do and attend and design before our big Summer adventure are finally drawing to an end and it is finally starting to feel like it’s actually going to happen! When I booked our Summer quite a few months ago, it seemed forever away and now we are less than six days out from flying across the country! Last week was all kinds of crazy from designing a vignette for a big July event in Atlanta, hosting a big baby shower at our home for my sis on Saturday and then photographing almost our entire home yesterday for a month full of design updates for the blog while we are away. And then in the midst of the craziness, I decided to tackle a huge ballon arch thingy for my sister’s baby shower last Friday. Five hours later it turned out amazing but totally one of those things that I was obsessed with doing but shouldn’t have even tackled. I will be sharing the festivities, all of my baby shower decor ideas and my big balloon arch on the blog later this week! Now I am simply down to end of school year activities, errands and LOTS of packing. I honestly don’t even know where to BEGIN to pack for over a month. Like no clue.

Five months ago we moved into our new home and literally had the oldest, cheapest and/or most uncomfortable mattresses ever. It’s always one of those things that gets put to the wayside financially when we are working on our home yet I always think about RIGHT when I lay down at night. So earlier this year I first got Addie a new mattress. Hers was the oldest and probably the least comfortable. Then Addie’s was so crazy cozy that I decided to go ahead and get Winter two new ones as well! And then FINALLY just last week, I got one for us. Half because I definitely really wanted one and then half to just get Mark to stop texting me every single day to order us one like Winnie’s. When I first got Addie’s, Mark and I would randomly sleep with her because it was sooo cozy and then after Winnie’s, we would fight over who would sleep in the extra bed in her room. Kids always come first right?!?

We determined after getting both of the girls their new mattresses that the new gel foam technology makes for THE most comfortable mattresses ever. So between being totally in love with Winnie’s gelfoam beds to hearing about NECTAR Sleep: The Most Comfortable Mattress, we decided to give it a shot! With numerous awards, a 365 night trial, free shipping & returns PLUS a forever warranty, I mean who wouldn’t try it out?!? So I ordered NECTAR Sleep: The Most Comfortable Mattress in a King Size for our master bedroom. It is made from quilted gel memory foam and has a cooling cover to keep air flowing PLUS it is bedbug resistant! That grosses me out even writing that. Ewwww. Just ewww.  So glad we don’t have to worry about that anymore! The craziest part is that it costs SO much less than the one we had yet it is truly a night and day difference in comfort!

I can honestly say that we LOOOOVE our new NECTAR Sleep: The Most Comfortable Mattress. Which you probably already know if you follow me on IG stories. Mark was so excited the afternoon it arrived on our front porch that he opened it immediately and tested it out. He was loving it so much and the kiddos were so all over it that I had to snap some video. Mark said his back pain is completely gone and it feels SO much better on my hips and shoulders since I am a side sleeper. It conforms to your body but not so much that you completely sink. It is just firm enough for support and just soft enough to to be super duper cozy! Here is a peek at our new NECTAR Sleep: The Most Comfortable Mattress…

Hi Brittany, we ordered a new mattress from Nectar after reading your blog post and doing tons of research. Unfortunately, we have had nothing but issues. We haven’t received the mattress yet, and I don’t think they will be canceling our order as we requested. I just wanted to share my experience. I love your blog, and I’m sure it’s a great mattress but we have had issues before even receiving it so I don’t even wish to test it at this point.

I also had a few hang ups with them because I wasn’t able to select a payments option at checkout rather than pay it in full. But I emailed them immediately after placing my order and I got an email (a week later) saying they would just cancel my order. Unfortunately, at that point I just turned around and ordered another mattress in full rather than deal with the payments because I didn’t want to deal with it. I found that their customer service is lacking, but they did grant my cancellation request eventually. Hope you have better luck!

We just purchased a Nectar mattress. Where did you buy the box springs you have underneath? We need to add some height to ours.

I am so over Nectar! Awful customer service & they only give scripted answers as to why they can’t even give you a shipping date. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!

It may be five years later but this week Ab and I It may be five years later but this week Ab and I are finally finishing this tile! 🙌🏻 In my procrastination defense, I WAS going to put a shelf right there but then I changed my mind... 4 years and 11 months ago now 🤦🏻‍♀️ Better late than never! Excited to make 2021 the year I mark stuff off my list! 💗💗💗 What house project are YOU dying to get done this year?

Yep, our penny tile mosaic super detailed tutorial and reveal is LIVE on the blog as well as three more posts this week. Pop over and sign up to follow along! P.S. If you’re wondering why I chose to orient the saying this way, I pondered it for a while. In the end I chose this way because we literally never ever use this back door. Anyone entering our home either comes through the front door where this is visible down the hallway, up the basement stairs where this greets them at the top or around through our laundry room or family room. Basically when your 1908 home has a million exterior doors, most end up going unused. HAPPY FRIDAY!!! ❤️ Oh and P.S.S. This wallpaper, trim color, artwork and all of the tile details are on the post! I think this one just might be cutting board wall worthy! 😉 Sharing more of my finds on stories today. Several new projects coming soon from my finds too! Also thought I’d take this “cleaned my kitchen just for this picture” opportunity to answer two of my most asked questions... what is your cabinet color and what are your countertops? My cabinets are a 50/50 color mix I created when I was determined to find the perfect blue-gray mix. It’s a full strength, equal mix of SW Stardew and SW Uncertain Gray. My countertops are Calcutta Reale marble and I’m sharing all of my thoughts about marble in a kitchen on the blog! Link in bio!

All is Merry & Bright ❤️... My love for renova All is Merry & Bright ❤️... My love for renovations just went pint-sized! I cannot even tell you how much fun Ab and I have had on this mini little renovation. #ad Winter asked for a Barbie dreamhouse for Christmas and I just couldn’t hold back. The only problem was that I only had a day or so to go and we were still wrapping twine for chandeliers and spray painting furniture… oops! Thank GOODNESS for @walmart and Walmart+. By becoming a member of Walmart+, you can save nearly 2.5 hours per week with free delivery from your store on orders $35+ (Savings based on 3 store trips per week. Excludes time spent shopping online. $35 minimum order. Restrictions apply.) With our family Christmas party last night and Winnie at home all week, sneaking off to the store wasn’t really an option. I needed a few extra dollhouse supplies and a few things for the party tonight so I hopped online and logged into my Walmart+ account. Sharing LOTS more on stories today! And, in other exciting news, Walmart+ recently introduced Walmart+ free shipping, no order minimum on items from Walmart.com with two-day or next-day shipping options (Excludes oversized/freight & Marketplace items)! #Walmartplus http://liketk.it/34yWz #liketkit @liketoknow.it #LTKhome http://liketk.it/34yWT
My very own sidekick WONDER WOMAN 👊🏻 This gi My very own sidekick WONDER WOMAN 👊🏻 This girl right here demoed out this entire cabin with her own two hands in 24 hours. A million pounds of junk and carpet and tack strips and everything in between. We just might have had a little fun on stories today documenting some of it too! Now it’s time for DESIGN!!! Eeeeekkkk!!!! If only y’all could’ve been a fly on the wall watching us take these pix 🤦🏻‍♀️ We finally decided, after a million failed attempts with a tiny phone tripod perched on the hood of my car, to video and then screenshot the best moment. Genius Ab. GENIUS!!!
