Well, it’s been a little while since I’ve last updated you on our house flipping journey! As you know, we started in the North Georgia mountains with our first property, better known as #projecthayesdreamcabin, which you can read more about HERE. That was not exactly a flip per say but more of a complete renovation on our second home/mountain retreat. From there, we decided to take on the world of house flipping with our first official flip… #projectscontiridge. This is actually a cute little, three bedroom/two bathroom condo unit in the gated community. In under three weeks over the summer, we turned this property from 1970’s dark and dingy drab into bright and airy fab! Hehe sorry I had to. Oh and keep on scrolling to get my full source list. You all know that HomeGoods was at the top of my shopping list as always! So, check out the complete transformation of this home and keep on scrolling to see the status of our first flip too!
BEFORE
AFTER
Drumroll please! And now this property is…
SOLD!!! Yes, we closed on this home about three weeks ago. So what’s the final rundown…
We paid… $99,000
We invested… $26,000 (+$5,200 Closing Cost)
We sold for… $165,000
Profit… $34,800
What’s next for AW Properties? Well, as you now we purchased a new home which you can read more about HERE. That will obviously take up a HUGE portion of our time but we do have some upcoming flip projects as well! And yes, we survive on lots of coffee, lots of passion and lots of help.
So first, we are about to close on a cute little lake “cottage” at Lake Oconee in middle Georgia. We will begin the transformation of this property in early December. Let’s call this one #projectlakehouseflip. Although it is teensy tiny, given the fact that it is on prime lake property, there’s huge potential for this one! We also have our eyes on a property in the same mountain community as the property pictured above. We are undecided about this one quite yet but I will let you all know if we decide to purchase it!
Thanks so much for following our journey and I will be sharing more on #projectlakehouseflip very very soon!
