The Full Tour…

Cabin Link_edited-1

Drumroll please…  Today I am finally revealing a FULL house tour of our #projecthayesdreamcabin!  Six short months ago, we purchased this home in true dated style.  We immediately fell in love with the potential… the walls of glass doors, the vaulted living room, two living rooms actually and the list goes on and on and on…  In a matter of four short days in December, my hubba hubba hubby remodeled the entire home.  Literally.  We had it planned out to a tee prior to closing, had all of the supplies loaded and he drove it all in our company’s box truck to closing.  I am fairly confident everyone thought we were nuts.  Something we’ve become rather used to over the years.  When we get something in our mind(s), we jump on it.  Or maybe pounce.  Our spontaneity, insanely quick decision making and love for staying busy has led to an array of home projects over the years.  This one would have to be our first “less than a week”-er though.  And from here, we became HOOKED.

Big Canoe Update 3

So here’s the good news  And the sad news  And the exciting news.  And the everything in between news.  We have listed our cabin.  Yes, it is for sale.  What?!?  We “drank the juice” of flipping and are officially obsessed.  From my hubby’s love for projects to my love for design, flipping is like a dream come true for us.  And although I honestly L.O.V.E. our cabin, we are ready to do it all over again.  Mark’s sleepless nights, our crazy schedules, him carrying sofas over his head while we moved everything in solo, me filling my car to the rim on a freeeeezing cold day at HomeGoods.  Yep, sign us freaking up!

Big Canoe Update 1A

So ready to see it all before it’s going, going… GONE!?!?  Oh and if you are interested in purchasing our cabin, the listing is below.  And guess what?!?  It comes COMPLETELY furnished.  Although I may fight you over that living room rug at closing.  Just a tiny brawl though.  It’ll be okay.  I’ll replace it.  Hehehe.

Here’s our listing!… http://www.trulia.com/property/3208559207-176-Wild-Ginger-Cir-Big-Canoe-GA-30143

I read your opening paragraph and gasped, and then completely reminded myself that my husband and I do the same. This time last Summer we were renovating a foreclosure in Colorado and now fast-forward 12 months we are in Lake Travis TX about to do it all over again. I call us gypsy’s but wouldn’t have it any other way. I am a designer and my husband is a Plumber so we love doing it on our own and now our three year old daughter even steps into rooms and starts telling you her “plans”! Cannot wait to see what you do next, and I just know that your cabin will be hot property and gone quickly from the MLS! Keep inspiring, love your blog! Hurry up HGTV your missing out not having an Addison’s Wonderland show!

First of all, I wanted you to know you have been a huge inspiration in the remodeling of our home! I’ve been looking at Ikea (where you sourced your aqua cabin curtains), but am unsure of the exact style and color. I found Sanela in Light Turquoise, but that is as close as I’ve come! Thanks again so much!

So over the moon happy to share that yesterday THI So over the moon happy to share that yesterday THIS HAPPENED 💍 for the other half of AW ♥️ The last three years have been something CRAZY for Ab and I but getting to not only witness but to also play a part in one of the happiest days in each of our lives over these last twelve months has been nothing short of PURE MAGIC ✨ Looking back at all of the tears and uncertainty and heartache we’ve each experienced “together” it feels kind of unreal that each of our fairytales have officially come true… absolutely INCREDIBLE, genuine, steadfast men that we both get to call our FOREVER AFTERS 🥰 There is truly NO ONE more deserving of a fairytale than Abigail. She’s more positive adjectives than will fit on this post… basically every single one in the dictionary… and then some. And believe me when I say that if Jess wasn’t absolutely perfect for her, I would’ve thrown myself on the sidewalk for all she’s done for me. These two love birds are the ABSOLUTE CUTEST EVER and I could not possibly be more thrilled for them and the countdown to their big day…. ♥️♥️♥️

My first true outdoor design project is coming to My first true outdoor design project is coming to life ♥️ And I’m IN LOVE! When John and I made the decision to keep my home and make it OUR HOME for the long term, I decided I wanted to bring the European vibes y’all know I LOVE into our own backyard. It quite honestly wasn’t even as much about adding a pool as it was about the vibe I’d been dreaming up as a whole. Wanting to create an outdoor space that felt warm, inviting, whimsical and elegant. All of the things I try so hard to evoke with my style. A place we can keep our now family of six entertained or just a place John and I can sip coffee in the mornings or wine in the evenings as our kiddos are growing up way way too fast. Bringing what we love about the inside of our home to our fabulous backyard. Thank y’all for following the progress over on stories the last few weeks! It’s far-ish from done for me but you did say y’all wanted to see more pictures on my feed… 😉 Work done by @garrisonmessick and @connergrading ♥️
Y’all voted… MORE PICTURES IT’LL BE! And why Y’all voted… MORE PICTURES IT’LL BE! And why not a little design advice and room details with every post too! 💗 I’m often asked if someone wants to start implementing a more colorful, pattern filled style in their home, where do you even begin? I think the best place to start playing around and living it up is sometimes the smallest of spaces where it’s “okay” to play it up! Laundry rooms, powder rooms, mud rooms and of course kids rooms can be great place to start. I mean, who doesn’t love walking in the door from a busy, stressful day into a vibrant, fun mudroom?!? A few details… The trim color in here is a color I created for our kitchen six years ago now that I am still completely obsessed with. It is a 50-50 mix of Sherwin-Williams Uncertain Gray and Stardew. Both at full strength. It is the most perfect gray blue and it never gets old! Also, this wallpaper is available at shopaddisonswonderland.com and I also blogged a full detail tutorial on how we created this penny tile floor writing. Search “penny” on my blog under the Menu. Happy Weekend!
Okay I have to ask… PICTURES OR REELS? I’m so Okay I have to ask… PICTURES OR REELS? I’m so torn! I joined Instagram to share and be inspired by beautiful designs but I also love sharing the process and progress of it all on a Reel. HOWEVER, sometimes I’d love to just scroll and not have my phone blast a new song at every finger swipe. Anyone with me??? For today, sharing our newly completed living room ♥️ Feels so good to call it DONE! HAPPY WEEKEND!!! P.S. If you’ve been following along on stories we are doing lots in our newly landscapes backyard from filling it with furniture to filling pots to place around the pool. Hope you’ll follow along! Lots pictured here is on the @shop.LTK app under @addisonswonderland and about half including the pillows, lamps and lighting is from shopaddisonswonderland.com!

Goooooooood morning!!!! Ab here 🙋🏼‍♀️ Goooooooood morning!!!! Ab here 🙋🏼‍♀️ Although it is not Portugal, I am sharing the next best thing this morning, state side #ad It's crazy when the vision you dreamt up over a year ago starts to turn into a reality😭😭😭 Y'all, I am over the MOON about these sofas. I knew I wanted to go with leather in this space and the #SvenSofa from @article blew my expectations out of the water. This room is constantly used for game nights, late night hangs with the girls, and the occasional lazy Sunday nap AND it is SO dang cozy. Who's coming over for dinner??? #ourarticle Swipe to see where this room AKA the “Key Lime Pie Room” started… who else loves those office lights?!?
