Is it just me or is this Summer FLYYYYING BY?!? We are already officially more than halfway through our Oregon Summer Adventure and I am also less than one month away from becoming an AUNT!!! Holy moly we are SOOO excited! It’ll be Addie and Winnie’s very first cousin and my very first niece or nephew so we are all thrilled to say the very least. Everyone who knows me knows that I LOVE to steal anyone and everyone’s babies. I mean not really steal but ya know… take and hold and snuggle for a while. I am rather notorious for that so now I get one that I can steal anytime I want! Hehe I mean she better let me… she did steal all of my clothes my entire four years of high school. 😉 So last month, right before we left for Oregon, I gave my beautiful sis a baby shower and today I am sharing every last detail!
First, let’s chat baby shower invitations… I am pretty sure there are a million and one options for shower invitations on the web but Minted is always my first stop when I am on the hunt for anything and everything stationary or party favor related. They have such unique designs plus the matching everything gets me every single time. I think I scrolled through every single invite option no less than five times before finally deciding on these beautiful invitations & custom stamps…
Invitations, Envelopes & Custom Stamps
I went back and forth between the black and pink options but eventually decided on the pink. The black is so super classy and chic though. Hard choice! And then of course I could not resist the gold foiled self-addressed envelope option and matching stamps. I mean matching stamps?!? Yes, please! I still love to match everything in sight. Including my kids. 😉 I had the invitations printed in the curved frame option on pearlescent paper and they were STUNNING in person!
Next stop, baby shower party decorations… if there is anything second in line to design and clothing in my book it is party planning. I have always loved to throw my kiddos big “fancy” birthday parties so I was definitely all over planning a girlie baby shower. Minted not only has great invitations but they also carry the cutest lines of party favors as well! I found everything I needed from garland to table confetti to custom favor tags and even a custom table runner! How amazing is that?!?
Since I just knew my sis could not even live without a custom balloon arch, I HAD to try it out for her shower! 😉 Especially since it has been on my design/DIY bucket list for some time now. Okay, she probably could have cared less but I was DYING to make one! I will be sharing the full “how-to” tutorial on the blog next week but in the meantime, here’s a peek at the final product. Oh and let’s just say that it took some time and some materials to complete. Like a lot of time and a lot of materials. But it turned out AMAZING!
So without further ado, here is a peek at the shower pre-party…

Simply beautiful! That balloon arch is amazing! I’m sure all your guests were wowed by it.
So beautiful and feminine!! Would you be open to sharing the recipe for the chicken salad croissants? They look yummy!! Also, where did you find the votive candle holders on the tables? Thank you!!! I look forward to your posts because you are so creative!!!! ❤️
Love it!! I just did a balloon arch for my BFF’s 40th birthday and it turned out sooooooo amazing. They really give you a big bang for your buck. Can’t wait to make one for my daughter’s graduation next year 😉
Whoa! It looks so amazing…the balloon arch is a work of art!
It did take me a second to figure out that the baby’s name was Abby and the letters weren’t just mixed up and it was supposed to say baby. Geeze, I must be tired! Hah!
The decoration is simply stunning. I love the color palette, girly yet not overwhelming, and the baloons made it so fun. Bet it was an amazing event. Thank you for sharing it!
Oh my goodness! How beautiful it all is together!! I’m sure she loved the balloon arch and everything about it! I love being an aunt. I know I cried more than my sister when my nephew came into the world. I am so mushy I can’t help it. So excited the girls will have their first cousin! Oh and I love how your sister’s name is spelled. Simply beautiful!
What a fun baby shower and the decorations were beautiful! I love your bar stools. Will you share where you bought them?
I love the balloon arch! I couldn’t find the tutorial – i was wondering if it was ever posted? We would love to do this similar idea for our staff in a few weeks!
Awe thank you! Doing it soon I promise!!! XOXO
