Happy Tuesday!!! And Happy February! In some ways I want to say “where did January go???” But then again it kind of felt like it creeped on by. February 2020… the month of love… holy moly what has this last year even been?!? This day one year ago now, I would’ve never ever ever in a million years imagined that I would be sitting here today a single mom falling in love with an incredible new man with a beautiful new brick & mortar store and the absolute BEST blog/social tribe a girl could ever ever ask for. If only I could’ve had a little chat with that girl way back in February 2019. That girl who was about to see her entire world turned upside down. I would’ve sat her down nine or ten months ago now and I would’ve told her to keep her head up. That it would all be okay. MORE than okay! That it would all work out the way He had always envisioned. That by the end of 2019, the light at the end of the tunnel would shine brighter than I ever thought possible. That I would wake up one morning at peace and happy and even thankful for everything I have walked through these last handful of years. But it’s okay… it’s more than okay. That girl needed to walk through the unknown to walk into 2020 with a clear mind and a thankful heart ready to build a brand new life. In some ways I feel like I am 20 again. A young woman who is excited about tomorrow and ready for whatever it may bring. In ten short days I get to spend Valentine’s Day 2020 with someone who has lit my heart on fire. And for that I am forever and ever and ever THANKFUL.
Today I teamed up with World Market to do some super fun and super FUNCTIONAL art/playroom updating and organizing! This space is a little nook between my girl’s upstairs living room/playroom and their bedrooms. It was a funky little pas through space that had me stumped at first but I quickly started envisioning it as an art and homework room for my two sweet girls. They both LOVE arts and crafts and all the things so this was the perfect little nook to design an artistic spot for them to dream and create. Over the last few weeks, I have been working on some little updates to make the space even more functional and World Market was my shopping destination of choice! I found the most perfect baskets to hang on the wall for toys AND the cutest little wall racks to display their artwork!
