Yep, I am back again with yet another living room update! As much as I love finishing a room and calling it complete, I also love when I can create a room that can be a fun transitional space for Holiday decor or even a random new color scheme on a whim. Y’all know I am totally the girl for that! Plus, I love that I can use this space to give you guys a multitude of fun styling ideas without completely changing up an entire room. It’s always a hard line for me because I obviously LOVE design but I honestly don’t want to redo every room in my home 7,000 times. I truly like to think through each space and choose things that I love and/or pieces that mean something to us as a family. A curated house that will feel like home to us for years and years and years to come.
In this home, our front living room is just that space. With 12′ tall ceilings and a beautiful historic brick fireplace, it is a super cozy space that truly makes our house feel like home right when you walk through the front door. It is also quite possibly the most neutral room in our home which makes it the perfect backdrop for my ever evolving decor and accessories.
For today’s living room update, I teamed up with World Market and their new Sackcloth & Ashes line to create a warm, cozy and colorful space. Cost Plus World Market is teaming up with Sackcloth & Ashes to spread the warmth this season and I am OBSESSED with their selection of blankets! I honestly cannot even choose a fave but for this particular space I finally decided on their Tribal Moonlight Blanket for it’s deep, rich colors that are so reminiscent of Fall. I paired that with quite a few fun new pillows and this space makes me want to curl up and read a book all day long!
The founder of Sackcloth & Ashes, Bob Dalton, was inspired to help the homeless population when his hardworking single mother found herself living on the streets in 2013. Because of his mother’s story, Bob realized that not all choose to become homeless – some people just need a second chance. He began to call homeless shelters in his area to ask what they needed most. They all answered: blankets. For every blanket purchased at Cost Plus World Market, Sackcloth & Ashes will donate a blanket to a California homeless shelter this Holiday Season. Now how about THAT for spreading the warmth this Holiday season?!? Now here’s a peek at our newly cozy-fied space…
