September 22, 2016Another Peek Inside Our Wonderland…WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU CONTINUE TO FOLLOW ALONG ON OUR JOURNEY?Never Miss A Blog Post!*E-mail Address * I am over Homecoming Week. I love my kids and I love playing dress up and I love their school but having to pretend like it’s Halloween five days in a row while our entire lives are boxed up has about made me crazy. After countless trips to Wal-Mart, Target and Halloween Express plus calls to friends for borrows, we have officially survived 4/5 days. I have suddenly fallen madly in love with their uniforms. Minus Monday which was “Twin Day” when we barely made it to school on time, here are the last three days of Homecoming Week! Character DayDecades DayDisney DaySo all in all my first week in our rental home has consisted of unpacking, purchasing “costumes” and overseeing OHW painting. Add in a little lighting shopping in Atlanta yesterday and celebrating Mark’s 35th birthday in Athens last night with friends, our schedules have been packed full! Just when I thought moving week last week couldn’t have made life much crazier, then came this week. So here’s another peek at our cute little rental…Yesterday I shared a huge sneak peek into the progress on “Our Historic Wonderland” and today I am sharing a little more! I wasn’t planning on posting again today but I went by this morning and they’ve done even more AND you guys wrote such sweet comments yesterday I just HAD to pop by and give you another update! First, here’s a peek at the outside again. This is a quick little picture from my iPhone and once I lightened it up a tad it looks a little bluer than it does in real life but you get the idea. I haven’t shared the full exterior reveal yet because they aren’t quite finished. We decided to move them all inside since our house sold and we needed to hurry up the completion. And for those who’ve asked, the final siding color is 1/2 Benjamin Moore Witching Hour and 1/2 Benjamin Moore Soot. The trim is Benjamin Moore Dove Wing and the doors are currently being restored and stained in a clear gloss. And finally, the foundation is Restoration Hardware Slate. I am planning to grow vines up the foundation and the side exterior fireplace once we begin landscaping. The beautiful doors and garage doors were purchased and installed by the previous homeowner about 12 years or so ago so I am not sure where they came from. But we LOVE them! Here’s one more look inside our home as of this morning! I have included the paint chart once again at the bottom of this post. The living and family room walls were just painted yesterday so those are what is the Gossamer Veil color. All main level doors are the blue/grey color on the chart and all of the upstairs doors are the pink-ish color. You can see those on the previous post. Thank y’all again SOOOO very much for following our journey! Next week I will be sharing flooring selections!Living Room Family RoomMain HallwayMaster Bathroom (ceiling has been painted now)Master Bedroom (walls are complete!)Oh and here’s my new office that I have never shared before! It is the cutest space and is coming along as well! Paint Colors…XOXO, Brittany Hayes
Oh I’m so excited to see more of the progress! Thanks for explaining where you’re using the colors. I’m now assuming that the Alabaster is being used for the trims and moldings, correct? Great job on surviving Homecoming week with what you have going on already! They look adorable and I’m cheering on the school uniforms! 🙂

Awe thank you! The Alabaster is all of the trim and moldings plus all walls except the living room, family room and master bedroom. You’re a doll! XOXO

Looking amazing… Just wondered if I missed it somewhere, but wondering what the Exterior paint color is? Thanks much and love the progress.. Kate
I’m so curious about the bedroom color!? It’s a beautiful color and the size of the room can certainly handle it . It’s very dramatic! I can’t wait to see the decor when finished…..

My local Sherwin Williams was very uncertain when I asked for a sample that was 1/2 Stardew 1/2 Uncertain Grey. Did you buy the paint separately and mix it yourself? Or did your SW have any problems just mixing 1/2 of the total paint at 100% of each color. I think my SW thought I meant mix them at 50% and he said his machine wouldn’t do that. I’m also certain I wasn’t getting the most experienced employee on a Sunday morning.
